(Don Olymbrio x EM Lucette/Liberty Gold)
Don Olympus, or "Ollie" for short, is a very typey 2020 colt by the Elite stallion Don Olymbrio out of EM Lucette. From day one we have been thoroughly impressed with Ollie's outstanding type and lovely personality. He is truly a barn favorite. At only a few months old, Ollie is already showing off his immense potential for sport with his expressive movement and very trainable attitude. Don Olympus is truly an extraordinary colt and we believe that he is an extremely strong stallion candidate. As such, Ollie will only be available to very special circumstances.
There is no doubt that Ollie has the breeding for success, but we have been very excited to watch his sire become more and more accomplished in international sport. In 2016, Daniel Bachmann Andersen took over the reins and the pair made their international Grand Prix debut in 2017. Despite the stallion's young age they won several major international competitions in 2018 and 2019 brought them even more success, with an impressive 11th place on FEI's world ranking in dressage by the end of the competition year.
In 2019 the pair scored over 80% in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the World Cup competition in Amsterdam and over 82% in the Grand Prix Freestyle in Herning, followed by their success at the World Cup in Hertogenbosch where they achieved over 84%. They also took more than 80% in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the five-star CHIO Aachen, and secured double victory at the World Cup in Herning in October 2019.
In addition to his accomplishments in the dressage arena, Don Olymbrio has been very successful in the breeding shed. He has sired 10 licensed stallions, including premium stallions UNO Don Olympic, Blue Horse Dreamline, and D'Olympus from the Celle State Stud in Germany. He is also the sire of many medal-winning mares.
For the past eight years he has sired foals that perform extremely well at foal shows and auctions. Don Olymbrio's daughter Remember Me was named Filly of the Year at the Danish Warmblood Elite Show in 2018, and was sold at the Elite Foal Auction to an international Grand Prix rider for 80,000 euros.
Many of his offspring have stood out at young horse championships, and several older offspring are making a name for themselves in sport. UNO Don Olympic represented Denmark at the World Championship in Ermelo and has demonstrated talent for international competition.
